Maremmana is a unique, secure, country estate that offers a quality living experience. The concept is modelled on prestigious Estates of Argentina combining social outdoor life of polo, wide open spaces, wine and good food. The developer, Peter Stuart, has transformed a piece of an undiscovered valley an hour from Cape Town into 50 very special properties of 1000m2 each. There are two of these properties remaining for sale. He has also recently released of a further 4 of 15 Vineyard Lodges overlooking the Maremmana Polo field.
The 50 properties are spaciously spread around a trout fishing dam in a private nature reserve and are surrounded by adjoining wine and mixed farms.
Adjacent to the nature reserve and properties, a tastefully built clubhouse looks over an arena, a shiraz vineyard and a manicured field (which also serves as a helipad from time to time). The 4 recently released Vineyard Lodges enjoy uninterrupted views over this polo field into the majestic Babylonstoring Mountains.
The fishing is as good as you will get in the Western Cape, the polo is fun, the mountain biking is challenging along the hundreds of kilometers of routes in the surrounding valleys and mountains. The wine club is an opportunity to mix with some of the best winemakers in the region and enjoy a new and innovative experience of growing the grapes in the field and making your own wine in their cellars. You can follow the process on line with your own web application page.
The fishing is all year round but better in the winter, polo chukkas start in November and December and end in April, mountain biking is good every day and you can sign up to the wine club from October 2011.
Please confirm attendance to the Saturday polo chukkas by sms to 072 1075533.
